- Register your sUAV with the Federal Aviation Administration's UAS Registry here before flying outdoors.
- If you are using an ELEV-8 quadcopter, make sure you have followed each step in the ELEV-8 v3 Assembly Guide or the ELEV-8 v2 Assembly Guide properly, as applicable.
- If you have not done so yet, or it's been a while, read the UAV Safety, Laws and Good Citizenship tutorial.
- Select and prepare your flight area, following the guidelines for Flying Indoors or Flying Outdoors, as applicable.
If you have an ELEV-8 Quadcopter you must register it with the Federal Aviation Administration's UAS Registry before flying outdoors.
