Ready to learn to program with BlocklyProp? If so, you are in the right place.
What it's about
This set of activities will help you get familiar with the basic BlocklyProp blocks, how to use them, and how they work together. You will build programs for common coding tasks: naming and using values, doing math problems, making decisions, and repeating sections of code.
This set of lessons requires only your Propeller development board, its source of power, and its USB programming cable. It was written for the Propeller Activity Board WX that is included with the ActivityBot Robot Kit, Arlo Complete Robot System, and BlocklyProp Starter Kit. Other Propeller-based boards that have the same connections to a 5 MHz oscillator and same type of EEPROM will also work with most blocks, such as the Hackable Electronic Badges.
Before you start
- Make sure you've gone through Getting Started with BlocklyProp for the Activity Board WX.
- Open up a window or tab to the BlocklyProp website to follow along with these tutorials.
After you finish
- Try the Blockly Functions tutorial to build re-usable chunks of code.
- Explore the Activity Board WX Block Reference to discover more blocks, including special ones for varous sensors, displays, and other devices you can connect to your board.
